The only requests it makes are to fetch exchange rates (currency codes only) and verify a subscription, and neither carries your financial data. Prefer to sync across your own devices? Turn on iCloud and everything stays in your private iCloud — we still never see it.

Do you collect any of my data?
No. Coinleaf has no analytics, no ads, and no trackers, and there is no account to create. Your financial records never leave your device. The app makes only two network requests — fetching exchange rates (currency codes only) and verifying a Pro subscription — and neither carries your financial data or personal identity.
Where is my financial data stored?
On your device by default. Your transactions, accounts, categories, and budgets never leave your iPhone unless you turn on iCloud (which syncs them only to your own private iCloud) or explicitly export them to a file you control.
Can I back up or sync to iCloud?
Yes, optionally. Turn on iCloud in Settings and Coinleaf keeps your ledgers backed up and in sync across your own Apple devices, through your private iCloud. We have no access to it — it is your iCloud, under Apple’s terms. It is off by default, so your data stays purely on-device until you choose otherwise.
Do I need an account?
No. Coinleaf has no sign-up and no login. You can start recording the moment you open the app.
How does currency conversion work?
When you turn on conversion, Coinleaf fetches exchange rates from our rate service. The request contains only currency codes — never your financial data — and the rates are cached on your device.
What does Coinleaf Pro include, and how is it billed?
Pro unlocks multi-currency conversion, budgets, data export, and more. It is an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly) billed through your Apple Account; you can manage or cancel it any time in the App Store subscription settings.
How do I delete my data?
Open Settings → Erase all data inside the app to wipe your records, or delete the app to remove its local data. If you turned on iCloud, you can remove the iCloud copy from iOS Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage. See the Privacy Policy for details.
